what is it used for - writings, reviews, blogging etc

post videos and images - yes

use for libraries - all different types of libraries can use blogger.

demographic - adults would mostly use it.

recommendations - I personally wouldn't use it but there are many interesting articles and reviews that I have been able to read. Though it would be great for libraries to use as it's a good way to post events and reviews.      

Pintrest review

what is pintrest used for - sharing images, reviews and links.

limitations - would be the whole process of pinning things instead of being able to post things

use for library purposes - yes but in a mediocre way.  not many libraries use pintrest.

platform - computer, tablet, smartphone. it also has its own app.

recommendations - I personally would not recommend and probably would not use it by choice in the future. though it seems alright for the purpose of reviewing.

twitter review

what to use twitter for - to post status updates such as thoughts and ideas

support features - yes

posting - can also post pics and short videos, and also re tweet posts

twitter app - there is a twitter app, and twitter can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones

demographic - teens and adults

recommendations - twitter has certainly been rising in terms of popularity and seems to be the go to social media site for some and comes in second to facebook for myself.

Facebook Review

Facebook - is a popular free social networking website,

What is Facebook used for - Facebook can be used to stay in touch with people and to post updates on life. 

easy to use - yes with help tools available

security - fairly secure

branding - libraries can use their own brand

demographic - teens and adults and those who use social media

images and videos - you can post images and videos and comment on them

link to catalogue - yes

device used on - can also be used on computers, tablets and mobiles. Also has an app.

recommendations - Facebook is a very popular and great social media platform which can be used for work purposes as well as social ones    

My Local Library! The Age Library Broadmeadows

The Age Library in Broadmeadows is the local library that I use. The library is part of the Hume city council. The Age Library has activities such as chess club, graphic novel groups, bilingual story time, free computer and internet training programs, genealogy get together etc. 

The Hume Libraries have Five branches plus one mobile Library -
The Age Library
Craigieburn Library 
Gladstone park community Library 
Sunbury Library 
Tullamarine Library 

I have used both the Age Library and Mobile Library on a regular basis and am planning on visiting the Craigieburn Library soon.
